Collection of Information

Buyers – You are free to browse JewelSonic_® without providing any personal information.  If you decide to contact a seller, JewelSonic_® will generate an email from you to the seller using your email address.

Sellers – JewelSonic_® will collect your email address, login information, mailing address, and jewelry information.  If you are making payment to JewelSonic_®, we will also collect your credit card information for the transaction.  However, for security purposes, we do not save your credit card information on our servers. 

General Information – JewelSonic_® collects information concerning your interaction with our site including page view statistics, computer and connection information, traffic to and from JewelSonic_®, IP addresses, and other standard web log information.

Use of Information

All information is stored on our servers in the United States.  We do not sell or rent your information to third parties.   We use your information to

• provide the services you request;
• tell you about our products and services;
• collect fees;
• prevent illegal or inappropriate activities;
• enforce our policies.

 

Disclosure of Information

JewelSonic_® may disclose certain relevant user information to law enforcement officials in response to a criminal investigation and to our service providers who assist with our operations.  JewelSonic_® may also disclose relevant information to prevent illegal and inappropriate activities on its site and to respond to its own legal requirements.  Unless suspecting illegal activities, JewelSonic_® will not release your user information to law enforcement or government officials except to comply with legal requirements.

Email Addresses & Spam

JewelSonic_® generates an anonymous email address for sellers through which buyers initially contact them.  However, once sellers respond, it will be through their own email addresses.  JewelSonic_® does not tolerate spam directed at buyers or sellers using its site.  Please report spam you receive from a party you met through JewelSonic_® to spam@JewelSonic_®.com.
